My Own Stupid Top 10

Saturday, December 23rd, 2006

Tis the season for Top 10 or Top 100 or Top Whatever lists. I thought I might contribute my own top list commemorating the year 2006. As for topic, I think I’ll go with random crap, or most memorable moments for me. (In no particular order)

  1. Steve opening his Chanukah present – a telescope. He loved it and said he had always wanted one, but probably never would have bought it for himself, which makes it a great gift.
  2. Joe’s chicken leg. The hair that was shaved off of his leg for anesthetic purpose just does not want to grow back!
  3. The wine vacation. May the next one be a thousand times better than the last! With it’s lack of hot water, heat and one terrible guest!
  4. First real Vegas trip. It was a nice relaxing trip with Steve’s family.
  5. MotoGP heat. Riding our bikes down to watch the race on some of the hottest days in this area’s history. Man, that sucked!
  6. First kayaking experience. The scariest thing I’ve done so far in my life. It was also fun though and I will try it again.
  7. Turning 30. Eh, it wasn’t much of a big deal. I got an awesome present though.
  8. Starting at Alexa. Leaving Eloan’s super stressful environment and joining the calm, wonderful Alexa. What a great move!
  9. Finally getting a macro lens. I had always wanted one, and finally got one as a gift. Since then I’ve taken tons of pictures with it :)
  10. Learning how to snowboard. Yet another thing I’d been meaning to tackle for a while and finally did this year. And I enjoy it very much. I actually bought a snowboard this summer, that’s how much I like it!

What are your Top 10 moments? (leave it in the comments, or give me a link)

Foiling a Cubicle

Friday, December 22nd, 2006

My ole buddy Ryan has just fulfilled one of his goals: covering a co-workers cube with tinfoil! And he did a marvelous job, very detailed and meticulous, as is most of his design work. Well done my friend!

Sassy Ms. Dewey

Thursday, December 14th, 2006

On NPR last night they told us about MSN’s, Ms. Dewey. She’s a sexy woman with 600-some clips ready to respond to your queries and questions. Try telling her, “you are a ho” and she just might flip out on you (I got at least 3 different responses to that one). Anyway, it’s a pretty unique way to promote a search engine. There seem to be several different interesting intros as well. Check it out – Ms. Dewey.

If you’re having a bad day, this video of a puppy falling asleep will surely cheer you up! Doin’ The Puppy Paw Slide on Cute Overload.

November Logo

Sunday, December 3rd, 2006

Must have been a tough one, had very few guesses – 8 out of 11 were correct about Charmin! Congrats to Anton! Let’s see if the December logo is just as difficult.
